Arch Insurance (UK), a division of Arch Capital Group, a global leader in providing specialty insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance solutions.
Arch Insurance (UK) wished to transfer certain EEA policies to its affiliate, Arch Insurance (EU) under Part VII of the Financial Services and Market Act 2000 (UK) – known as a Part VII Transfer - to ensure continuity of coverage for
policyholders following Brexit.
A critical part of the process required Arch to communicate with 76,000 policyholders immediately following Court approval of the Transfer. The process was not, however, straightforward due to the many classes of policyholders and the number of documents involved, as well as the requirement to demonstrate successful communications to the High Court.
Due to our unrivalled experience on Part VII Transfers and around-the-clock bulk printing, mailing and e-mailing capabilities, we were chosen by Arch to assist this significant project.
We produced around 60 items ranging from in-depth Independent Expert’s reports to personalised letters, forms and other documents, as well as bulk emailing, to over 76,000 policyholders, with ongoing top-up mailings. In addition, our VDR was used to manage the process over several months.
At the end of the project we were able to provide 100% reconciliation, from initial receipt of data files to final mailing, satisfying the High Court’s requirements.
Arch Capital Group was successful in its plans to restructure its UK and European operations following Brexit, ensuring continuity for its policyholders, brokers and reinsurers.
