Mothercare plc, the original and most trusted home for baby and child products in the world, designs, sources and supplies products across clothing and many other essential categories including baby nursery, feed time, bathtime and playtime providing for the needs of parents and young children across the world. Its focus is on global product design, sourcing and marketing to support franchise partners in over 40 territories and over 800 stores worldwide.
The company’s purpose is simple and important: to help parents and children create their life story. Consequently, the focus for its Corporate Reporting is to reflect its heritage, geographical reach, leading market position and, critically, the strength of its brand.
To help it achieve these aims, we designed a Report working with the company’s marketing team to make best use of its strong style guidelines, instantly recognisable colour pallet and logotype, and stunning photography.
To help articulate its strategy we created a new, simple Business Model graphic and a timeline graphic depicting key events in the company’s history, while helping give the layout breathing space and room for the company to tell its story in an engaging and appealing way.
The Report hits all the key elements of Best Practice Corporate Reporting, showcasing purpose and vision and explaining Mothercare’s global marketplace, strategy, its KPIs and risks via a clear, structured and compelling narrative.
B&C’s help didn’t end there though: we printed and mailed the Report and AGM documents as well as creating digital versions for the company’s IR website and for filing with Companies House.
