We're delighted to have helped with the £2.7m IPO of Fairview International PLC on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, giving the company a market capitalisation of £55.6m at IPO - a figure which has risen to over £66m following its listing last week.
Fairview owns and operates two private independent schools in Malaysia, one in the capital of Kuala Lumpur and one in the southern state of Johor, near the border with Singapore. The two schools offer the international baccalaureate programme, and Fairview plans to acquire more schools that offer the IB programme, both in Asia and the UK.
At the commencement of trading, Chair Daniel Chian noted: "We are pleased to announce our successful fundraising and admission of our shares to the Main Market. We hope the conclusion of our IPO is the beginning of the next chapter in our expansion as we seek further opportunities to grow the Fairview network of schools in Asia and the UK."
Thanks to our wonderful clients at Optiva Securities Ltd and Hill Dickinson, and of course Fairview International to whom we wish every success in its future life as a listed company.
