Investment trusts set year-record for mergers by June, outstripping previous full calendar years.
The investment trust industry has experienced six mergers in the first six months of 2024, with a seventh merger due to complete this month. Both 2021 and 2022 saw five mergers, while between 2016 and 2020 there were a total of seven mergers.
Investment trusts are very close to our hearts at B&C, and we're delighted to have helped with four of the largest seven deals to dae this year, creating a combined £9.65bn portfolio:

- Henderson European Focus and Henderson Europe Trust, creating a combined £750m portfolio
- JPMorgan Global Growth & Income with JP Morgan Multi-Asset Growth & Income, creating a combined £2.2bn portfolio
